A preliminary report from USGS initially stated the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.2.

“Was questioning why the home was shaking and didn’t hear any helicopters going by, so figured it needed to be an earthquake,” Barry Lieberman, who lives in Vancouver close to Salmon Creek, wrote on Facebook.
The Pacific Northwest Seismic Community (PNSN) asks anybody who felt the shaking to fill out a report online. The PNSN screens earthquakes and volcanoes in Washington and Oregon.
