The Salem Fire Department responded to a fire at a homeless encampment at West Salem Park early Sunday morning.
No injuries are reported at this time, according to Deputy Chief Brian Carrara. A couple of tents at the small homeless encampment caught on fire. Salem Fire was dispatched to the scene around 7:11 a.m.
It was not immediately clear what caused the fire and it remains under investigation. Smoke from the fire filled the sky just after 7 a.m.
